iCAD

Nashua, NH-based iCAD will unveil a new computer-aided detection system, iQ, aimed at clinics that perform fewer than 10 to 15 mammography procedures a day.

Icad Wom iCAD believes that iQ will fill a market niche that has been underserved, namely lower-volume clinics that haven’t been able to justify a CAD system. Designed to fit the limited space requirements of smaller mammography clinics, iQ will be priced under $70,000, according to the company. iQ was cleared by the FDA this month.

In addition to iQ, iCAD will showcase an updated version of MammoReader, which now includes wireless components, as well as a single label mode that allows for the ease of case separators without the need for an extra film. Finally, iCAD will introduce MammoReader iNET, a Web-based software package that allows for remote CAD capability.
