Laser breast imaging developer Imaging Diagnostic Systems (IDSI) has received its fourteenth U.S. patent (No. 6,675,035) for its phantoms for optical imaging and MRI quality control.
The latest patent is for phantoms that emulate the optical characteristics of breast tissue, resemble the breast in shape and size, and function as an integral component of a quality assurance protocol to verify the performance of the medical imaging apparatus being evaluated, according to the Plantation, FL-based firm.
