At the RSNA show, iCAD will display its Second Look line of products, all of which have been cleared by the FDA. The product line ranges from an offering designed for low-volume breast imaging sites to a system that supports both mammography and breast MRI images.
iCAD's product line includes the following:
- Enhanced Second Look 200, priced under $50,000 and designed for clinics that perform less than 20 mammograms per day.
- Enhanced Second Look 500, priced at $100,000 and designed for clinics that plan to upgrade to digital, require DICOM file interface, need to perform up to 12 mammograms per case, or require multimodality support (such as breast MRI).
- Second Look 500M, priced at $180,000, designed specifically for breast MRI and mammograms, and upgradeable to digital mammography CAD.
- Second Look Digital, designed specifically for digital mammography and packaged with GE Healthcare's Senographe DS and Senographe 2000 full-field digital mammography (FFDM) systems, as well as Hologic's Selenia Diamond and Fischer's SenoScan.
- Enhanced Second Look 400/402, priced at $70,000 and designed for high-volume breast care clinics that are batch reading, with a system throughput of up to 39 cases per hour.
Nashua, NH-based iCAD has undergone corporate changes since last year's RSNA show, acquiring fellow CAD developer CADx Systems and CADx's parent company Qualia Computing in December 2003. Since then, iCAD has been busy putting together partnerships: In July, iCAD signed a distribution deal with Malvern, PA-based Siemens Medical Solutions, under which Siemens will integrate and distribute iCAD's Second Look digital CAD system with Siemens' Mammomat Novation FFDM system.
In August, iCAD agreed to a global licensing and distribution deal with Bologna, Italy-based Internazionale Medico Scientifica (IMS) to integrate Second Look into IMS' Giotto Image FFDM unit. And in September, iCAD and Bedford, MA-based Hologic received FDA clearance to use Second Look with Hologic's Selenia FFDM system.
