TeraView steps closer to market

Breast imaging developer TeraView of Cambridge, U.K., said it is conducting a series of studies with Addenbrooke's Hospital Cambridge, imaging healthy and cancerous breast tissues.

The firm has developed technology that utilizes terahertz radiation, frequencies from 100 GHz to roughly 30 THz, to create 3D images and provide spectroscopic information of breast tissue. TeraView has recently partnered with business development firm Cambridge Consultants, and hopes to bring its products to market within the next three years, according to the firm.
