Viatronix

Viatronix will show the fruits of its efforts to add a PACS interface and computer-aided detection (CAD) functionality to its V3D Colon virtual colonoscopy analysis software.

Viatronix hopes to tap into the trend of offering advanced visualization technologies like 3D virtual colonoscopy through the PACS networks that are becoming increasingly common at healthcare facilities. To that end, the company released its first PACS interface module in the third quarter of 2004.

Viatronix will also showcase its latest work on its V3D Open CAD platform, which it is working on with several CAD firms to add a CAD capability to V3D Colon. The company says that users will be able to access CAD markings through a single mouse click. The company plans to make V3D Colon available to any third-party CAD company that wants to integrate its technology into the software.
