Lumicell has secured a current procedural terminology (CPT) code from the American Medical Association (AMA) for LumiSystem, the combination of its Lumisight (pegulicianine) optical imaging agent and its Lumicell Direct Visualization system (DVS).
Code 0945T covers intraoperative fluorescence imaging margin assessment following breast cancer lumpectomy and will take effect January 1, 2025, the company said. It expects LumiSystem to be commercially available in the fourth quarter of this year.
