Korean ultrasound vendor Medison has released a new diagnostic ultrasound image processing package, 3D-eXtended Imaging (XI), according to the Seoul-based firm.
The 3D-XI package, developed for the company's flagship Accuvix XQ ultrasound system, comprises Multi-Slice View, Oblique View, and VolumeCT applications.
Multi-Slice View technology enables 3D ultrasound anatomy to be displayed as serial slices similar to that of MR or CT imaging, the company said. Oblique View enables the user to display specific oblique scan planes from acquired 3D volume anatomy. The VolumeCT tool displays the relationship of coronal, sagittal, and axial views of the 3D dataset, with each scan plane as well as the entire volume dataset being interactive, Medison said.
