Advances in 3-D technology will highlight Algotec’s RSNA introductions this year.
Algotec has beefed up the functionality of its MediPrime diagnostic reading station software to allow it to serve as a full-featured 3-D processing workstation, according to the Duluth, GA-based vendor. MediPrime can perform 3-D applications such as multiplanar reformatting (MPR), maximum intensity projection (MIP), and vascular analysis.
In other MediPrime enhancements, Algotec has incorporated a teaching file application that is integrated with PACS and RIS networks. The application supports configurable personal teaching folders, and the software’s volume-rendering capability is integrated into the workflow and built into the display controls, according to the vendor. Customizable conference worklists are also available.
In other RSNA introductions, Algotec has added support for an expanded range of hardware architecture types, enabling storage on any file system-based archive. The firm has also enhanced its Smart-Remote suite of remote monitoring, configuration, and administration tools for its ImagiNet PACS line, and has improved the unified “look and feel” of all ImagiNet viewers.
