An enhanced RIS/PACS portfolio and new professional services offerings headline Kodak introductions this year.
The latest version of Kodak’s DirectView PACS System 5 platform includes integrated 3-D utilities such as MIP, tissue definition, and vessel tracking. Enterprise-wide reporting enhancements and a teaching file utility have also been added.
Kodak will also unwrap its DirectView Versatile Intelligent Patient Archive (VIParchive), a digital asset management platform that manages PACS and cardiology storage needs, according to the Rochester, NY-based vendor. VIParchive can also provide distributed enterprise-wide management of DICOM and non-DICOM digital assets across multiple storage platforms, Kodak said.
Kodak will also present three new professional services offerings. The Storage and Archive Services (SAS) program can provide ASP-based off-site storage, data migration, and disaster-recovery capabilities, according to the firm.
Healthcare Integration Services links a Kodak PACS and RIS with existing enterprise-wide RAID storage devices and HIS/RIS systems. This program also provides modality integration between RIS and PACS, Kodak said. Another professional service, Secure E-mail Service, encrypts e-mail messages and their attachments so that patient information and images can be sent securely over the Internet in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
