HInnovation will launch iConnection Suite, which includes Server, Viewer, 3D, and Collaboration modules.
iConnection Server provides centralized image management, distribution, 3-D/4-D processing, and collaboration capabilities. It supports scalable, multi-user concurrent access, and performs as a DICOM device on any imaging network, according to the Wauwatosa, WI-based vendor.
iConnection Viewer offers Web-based interactive diagnostic review of 2-D, 3-D, and 4-D studies via local-area or wide-area networks. Supporting multimodality review of both radiology and cardiology studies, Viewer is available in two types of licenses. A thin-client license can accommodate on-demand, enterprise-wide access via any PC with cable/DSL or faster connection, while the diagnostic workstation license is available to support multiple high-resolution monitors for primary diagnosis, HInnovation said.
iConnection 3D allows users to perform volumetric data processing and visualization, including MPR, MIP, and volume rendering (in both server-based/thin-client mode and workstation-based/ fat-client mode). With the aid of interactive image networking and processing techniques, the software allows PCs to serve as full-featured 3-D workstations, according to the vendor. iConnection 3D also comes with options packages such as: CTA/MRA semi-auto segmentation, vessel analysis, cardiac, PET/CT fusion, calcium scoring, and virtual colonoscopy.
Another iConnection Suite module, Collaboration, facilitates collaboration between service providers. Via Web-based consultation meetings, doctors will benefit from interactive and synchronized viewing of full-quality images, annotations, and mouse movement, HInnovation said.
Available throughout the world, iConnection Suite can be integrated with third-party PACS networks or deployed in a standalone configuration.
