Images-on-Call will fill out its offerings in film digitization at the show.
IOC Model PA5-S combines a Sierra 12-bit film digitizer from Vidar Systems with scanner drivers from Images-on-Call, while IOC Model PA5-DP employs a 12-bit Diagnostic Pro film digitizer from Vidar along with IOC scanner drivers. Both PACS appliances allow for older films to be migrated into a DICOM/PACS database as DICOM objects, and are suited for small to medium hospitals getting started with PACS or image distribution, according to the Dallas-based firm.
PA5-S costs $19,500, while PA5-DP runs $26,500. Both are available in the U.S. December 1.
For video digitizing applications, the firm is debuting PA-V, an IOC video digitizer that allows for conversion of legacy modality images into DICOM/PACS databases as DICOM objects. PA-V is priced at $12,500, and is available in the U.S. December 1.
