Medweb is touting a CR/PACS bundle in which institutions can receive a free PACS network from Medweb after purchasing a Konica CR or Canon DR system.
The PACS would include a Medweb Web server and a tape archive, according to the San Francisco-based vendor. Customers would pay for installation as well as an annual licensing fee.
In addition, Medweb will highlight a PACS/RIS/billing/dictation system, hosted on a single server. The system also supports scheduling capabilities.
Medweb will also introduce an Internet-hosted PACS offering, in which images could be delivered to home PCs at 10 megabits per second or higher, according to the firm. This is accomplished via a gigabit link to the Internet.
