RSI to showcase modality-neutral programming environment.
Imaging software developer Research Systems (RSI) will be shining the spotlight on its Medical Imaging Studio software development framework at this year’s RSNA. The Boulder, CO-based subsidiary of Eastman Kodak said that its Microsoft Windows development platform is a modality-neutral programming environment that enables the customization of business-to-business systems more quickly and cost effectively than traditional methods. Integration of tools such as 3-D, fusion, and multi-planar reformatting (MPR) with the Medical Imaging Studio provides more robust capabilities and performance, the company said.
The firm will also be previewing the upcoming iteration of its Watsyn development tool, Watsyn 1.5. This latest release builds on custom application development by improving 3-D, fusion, MPR, maximum intensity projection (MIP), and cine capabilities. The application also features more robust handling of large datasets and fused images for medical research and application development, according to the company. Custom medical imaging applications developed and deployed on a variety of imaging workstations, from nuclear medicine to PACS, will be demonstrated, said RSI.
