(Booth 4013) ScImage of Los Altos, CA, will feature a number of new capabilities on its PicomEnterprise product line, including mammography, exam tracking, and SPECT viewing tools.

ScImage has incorporated mammography workflow tools into PicomEnterprise. The new tools provide Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA)-compliant archiving, patient letter creation for various exam statuses, and statistical reporting for various patient procedure statuses, according to the vendor.

2008 10 21 13 52 33 607 Scimage Pac 2008 RoadUsers can track exam volume by the various personnel who are performing exams and can view outcome data for all mammograms that have been performed, ScImage said. Other statistical tracking capabilities provide details of patient visits, follow-up statuses, and correspondence completed.

The company also has added Web-based gated SPECT viewing to PicomEnterprise. The new capability provides automated display normalization and the ability to adjust the window/level of the stress series, the rest series, or both independently, ScImage said.

In addition, ScImage is debuting PicomWeb, a "zero-footprint" physician portal for delivering images, reports, waveforms, and documents to Web browsers. Physicians can then access their patients' images and data for nondiagnostic review, utilizing standard image manipulation tools in either a normal window view or full-screen view. Users also can switch to full diagnostic viewing capability with a single click, according to the vendor.

The company said that PicomWeb can be employed as part of a PicomEnterprise installation, as a unifying application for multiple disparate systems, or as an embedded link in an existing information system using its Universal Interface Toolkit.
