(Booth 7534) Two additions to its Voyager PACS line are on tap for this Australian PACS vendor.
Voyager has added Web-streaming technology to its PACS workstation software, which provides fast access for remote specialists and allows users to quickly view images over low-bandwidth connections, according to the East Hawthorn-based firm. It can be used in 512 x 512k and lower bandwidth connections, Voyager said.
Users initially view a compressed image that builds on demand, up to full diagnostic quality if necessary, according to the firm.
The company also will highlight data replication and mirror functionality for Voyager PACS. With this approach, Voyager PACS servers can be configured for local storage at a clinic or hospital site, with a replicated copy archived at another location. Images can then be accessed for reading or clinical viewing through either the local storage or at the replicated storage data center, Voyager said.
Status changes on either server are replicated back to the original server. Users can also configure the server replication and mirror function, Voyager said.
