Version 2 adds shortened migration timelines and better services during system transitions, according to the Homewood, IL-based firm. It streamlines migration setup and validation, and provides transparent user access to data in the process of being migrated, Laitek said.
Migratek also supports normal clinical workflow throughout the data migration process and the transition from one PACS application to another, according to the company.
In addition, the new version provides a virtual DICOM archive for use during the data migration; this archive unifies ongoing access to data through a single DICOM query/retrieve interface. The archive also ensures that data being migrated will be updated with all changes made during the course of normal business, Laitek said.
