Given Imaging gets reimbursement nod from Portugal

Video-capsule manufacturer Given Imaging has received a favorable reimbursement decision from the Portuguese Ministry of Health for use of its M2A capsule endoscope. Endoscopies performed with the technology within the Portuguese public hospital system will be reimbursed by the government beginning March 1, 2003, according to the Yoqneam, Israel-based firm.
