Siemens Medical Solutions turned in total fiscal second-quarter sales of $2.008 billion (U.S.), down 2% compared with the $2.051 billion posted in 2002’s second quarter. For the period (end-March 31), the Erlangen, Germany-based vendor met company profitability targets with a group profit of $279.8 million, compared with group profit of $287.4 million in the same period last year. New orders dipped from $2.349 billion in the second quarter of 2002 to $2.024 billion in 2003.
