Philips Medical Systems has launched the final piece of its Eleva x-ray system portfolio: OmniDiagnost Eleva, a multifunctional remote-controlled x-ray system. OmniDiagnost Eleva combines digital, CR, and conventional imaging applications, and can be used in a variety of settings including orthopedics, gastrointestinal, pediatrics, urogenital, angiography interventions, and traumatology, the company said.
OmniDiagnost Eleva includes features that enable clinicians to personalize the system based on specific working requirements. The product is also the only member of the Eleva product line that has integrated digital tomography.
The system allows clinicians to conduct analysis, measurements, and reconstructions in a control room, and, if required, results can be simultaneously displayed in the exam room. OmniDiagnost Eleva will replace the company’s TeleDiagnost and OmniDiagnost systems.
In other news, Philips reported the placement of its Integris Allura flat-panel detector system at the Edward Heart Hospital in Naperville, IL. The unit is installed in the facility’s new catheterization lab, one of three such labs developed and installed to date by Philips, the company said.
