Computed radiography developer Alara has received Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for its CRystalView desktop CR system. The storage phosphor-based unit automatically unloads, scans, erases, and reloads the imaging plate, according to the Hayward, CA-based vendor.
CRystalView provides throughput greater than 50 plates per hour for 14 x 17-inch cassettes in standard (6 pixels/mm) resolution, Alara said. Up to four quality control workstations can be operated simultaneously.
