Cardinal Health has introduced new radiation measurement tool for healthcare professionals, the Victoreen Advanced Survey Meter 990. The product is designed for radiation safety officers, nuclear medicine practitioners, diagnostic x-ray technologists, hospital emergency room technicians, and environmental health physicists, according to the Cleveland-based firm.
The product incorporates peak-hold functionality for surveying packages, advanced data logging capabilities with user-defined protocols, a real-time clock and calendar that allow time and date stamping for all logged readings, settable alarm and action levels, and a logged data retrieval function. An optional bar code scanner and infra-red data transfer capability is available to automate the transfer of logged measurements, said the company.
