Display provider Planar Systems has expanded its offerings in the flat-panel display market with the introduction of its Adara QX line, a family of referral-quality grayscale displays calibrated to the DICOM standard and intended for general medical viewing, according to the Beaverton, OR-based firm. The display line will debut with the Adara Q2 two-megapixel and Adara Q3 three-megapixel displays, according to the company.
The displays are shipped with the firm’s Cxtra Adara-edition software for DICOM calibration and enterprise management, which sets and allows for adjustment of the display’s gamma-correction table to meet the DICOM standard, the company said. In addition, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) capabilities of the software allow central location monitoring of display performance and calibration for all Dome and Adara displays.
