Monitor distributor Quest International has begun marketing Totoku's CCL212L, a 2 megapixel (MP) full-color LCD medical monitor, and the ME213L, a 2 MP grayscale LCD.
The monitors feature 10-bit lookup tables for accurate DICOM calibration, analog and digital inputs, and portrait and landscape orientation capabilities. The color monitor produces a maximum luminance of 450 cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 600:1, while the grayscale display can achieve a maximum luminance of 1,500 cd/m2, according to the Irvine, CA-based company. Both displays also offer symmetrical viewing angles of 170º in horizontal and vertical directions, Quest said.
In addition to the new LCD monitors, the firm has released a new software solution for management of Totoku displays, the PM Medivisor. The application tracks, monitors, and reports data for each Totoku display within a facility via a client-server interface.
The company also offers a calibration tool called Medivisor Grayscale, which allows for gamma and luminance tuning for DICOM standards. The device attaches to the front of a Totoku display and can run an express calibration within 10 minutes, the company said.
