Eastman Kodak Health Imaging has released a new software upgrade for its DryView 8900 laser imaging system. The new release is designed to support the printing of high-resolution digital mammography images.
The optional software package allows for printing of mammography images from all Food and Drug Administration-approved mammography modalities, including full-field digital (FFDM) units, according to the Rochester, NY-based vendor.
Kodak announced the upgrade at the European Congress of Radiology, held earlier this month in Vienna, and initially discussed the option as a work-in-progress at the 2003 RSNA meeting in Chicago.
