Display controller manufacturer Matrox Graphics has released RAD3mp, a new display controller designed for review and diagnostic workstations.
RAD3mp can provide multimonitor support of up to two three-megapixel grayscale or color digital displays, or up to two two-megapixel grayscale or color analog displays, according to the Dorval, Quebec-based firm.
It can be utilized along with the Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) software development toolkit, and is capable of driving various combinations of color and grayscale displays in stretched or independent modes, Matrox said. RAD3mp also comes with the firm's ExtendiGray grayscale processing technology, which allows for concurrent execution of grayscale applications alongside color Microsoft Windows desktop applications.
