Display provider Eizo Nanao Technologies has introduced two new monitors to its RadiForce family of medical imaging displays: the 2-megapixel monochrome RadiForce G22 and the 1-megapixel color R12.
Both monitors utilize LCD technology and are compatible with the Cypress, CA-based firm's RadiCS calibration and quality control management software, the company said.
RadiForce R12 offers 1280 x 1024 native resolution across a 19-inch (48-cm) screen and supports both landscape and portrait modes. The device utilizes a Super In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel that diminishes noticeable color shift when viewing the screen from oblique angles, Eizo said.
The viewing angles are 170 degrees, brightness is 250 candelas per square meter (cd/m2), and the contrast ratio is 450:1. It also includes dual DVI-I ports, which can accept both digital and analog input. RadiForce R12 supports separate sync, composite sync, and sync-on-green, and analog signal types for compatibility with workstations and standard PCs, according to the firm. The monitor, aimed at the reference CT and MRI display market, also offers front-button access to two DICOM preset modes corresponding to clear-base and blue-base film, as well as text, sRGB, calibration, and custom modes.
The 19.6-inch (50-cm) RadiForce G22 is designed for CT, MRI, and CR, Eizo said. It features a Super-IPS panel with 1200 x 1600 native resolution and is available in both clear-base and blue-base options. An 11.5-bit lookup table produces a palette of 3,061 grayscale tones, of which the monitor can simultaneously display 1,024 (10-bit) tones. The G22's brightness is 800 cd/m2, and its contrast ratio is 600:1 for viewing in ambient light environments and dark reading rooms, the company said.
