Karl Storz debuts autoclavable cameras

Medical video imaging firm Karl Storz Endoscopy-America has added autoclavable cameras to its Image 1 digital imaging platform.

The new single- and three-chip digital camera heads can be sterilized by autoclaving, while providing the same levels of clarity and resolution available with previous Image 1 cameras, the Culver City, CA-based firm said. Autoclave sterilization allows for rapid reprocessing and faster turnaround between cases.
