ARRS taps new editor in chief for Roentgen Ray Review

The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) has appointed Mahesh Thapa, MD, as its new editor in chief of Roentgen Ray Review (R3), succeeding founding editor John Leyendecker, MD.

Thapa is a professor of radiology at the University of Washington School of Medicine and director of clinical operations for the radiology department at Seattle Children's Hospital, where he also leads its pediatric musculoskeletal radiology program. He has previously served as deputy editor for Academic Radiology and Clinical Imaging and as section editor of pediatric imaging for R3, the society said.

Thapa will assume the role on July 1.
