Philips Healthcare of Andover, MA, and the Specialized Academy for Medical Training (SAMT) will partner to provide medical education and training programs for Saudi high school graduates and staff in hospitals and medical centers in Saudi Arabia.
Several programs are scheduled to begin in October 2008 covering medical technology, such as x-ray, ultrasound, and healthcare IT. SAMT also provides a combination of CME-accredited courses and workshops and operates from five locations in Saudi Arabia. Currently, more than 1,000 students are enrolled in SAMT courses.
