PET/CT for melanoma
Researchers from Switzerland have found that F-18 FDG PET/CT is superior for detecting both lymph nodes and abdominal metastases in patients with malignant melanoma. The modality was more sensitive than ultrasound and detected additional metastatic lesions throughout the body.
