Siemens installs PET/CT, cyclotron

Siemens has installed its Biograph PET/CT scanner and Eclipse Medical Cyclotron at Apollo Gleneagles PET/CT in Hyderabad, according to the Erlangen, Germany-based company. The system combines PET with a 16-slice CT scanner.

The system allows scanning of anatomical and functional processes at a molecular level, a capability that is crucial for the detection of cancer, cardiac diseases, and neurological disorders at stages, the company said.
