The Cedara Software division of Merge Healthcare has reported that it has formed a strategic partnership with dental technology company i-Dent Imaging.
Under the terms of the partnership agreement, Mississauga, Ontario-based Cedara will be an exclusive global channel for i-Dent's dental implant technology. The company said it will use its industry contacts to promote and market the technology to customers worldwide. Cedara said it will also contribute to the continued development of future products developed by i-Dent.
In particular, Cedara said it will assist with marketing and product management, validation and engineering, regulatory management, technical authoring, and hot-line support services. Cedara reported that it will also have a small equity stake in Fort Lauderdale, FL-based i-Dent.
