Business events firm Informa will host a one-day radiological safety conference on 6 October at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center.
The conference will address issues such as ionizing radiation and radiation physics, safety regulations, and the role of the radiation protection officer. Speakers will include:
- Dr. Guy Frija, head of the imaging department at the Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou in Paris
- Laila Al Balooshi, head of medical physics and radiation protection officer for the Radiation Protection Committee in Dubai
- Tobias Gilk of the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety in the U.S.
- Medical physicist Wadha Al Shamsi of Al Ain Hospital in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates (UAE)
