FDA clears Heuron intracranial hemorrhage AI

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared Heuron's ICH stroke triage software and notification system.

The Heuron ICH AI is designed to screen for and identify cases of intracranial hemorrhage on noncontrast CT images. Clinical trials were conducted last year for the software in collaboration with Mass General Brigham in Boston, according to Heuron.

Heuron ICH becomes the fifth software package from Heuron to receive FDA clearance, it said. Others include Veuron-Brain-mN1, Veuron-Brain-pAb, Heuron Beta Amyloid, and Veuron-Brain-pAb3.
