CMT Medical Technologies of Israel launched the SmartRAD and SmartSPOT PrimaX systems at last year's RSNA meeting and will show further enhancements to these products this year.
SmartRAD is available in single- or dual-detector configurations and as a complete DR room, a retrofit solution for existing x-ray equipment, or a digital subsystem for OEMs to incorporate into their own equipment.
SmartRAD is available in the following configurations:
- SmartRAD Elite, a single-detector upright unit for chest applications
- SmartRAD OmniX, a single-detector multipurpose universal arm for all radiographic examinations
- SmartRAD GeminiX, a dual-detector system for all radiographic examinations
- SmartRAD Retrofit, a digital single- or dual-detector retrofit that enables a film-based radiography suite to upgrade to a fully digital system
All these configurations will be presented at the RSNA show with a new graphical user interface that also integrates the operator acquisition console.
All SmartRAD systems now offer two new applications: Rhapsody, CMT's proprietary contrast-enhancing tissue-harmonizing image processing software, and SmartStitch for extended-length imaging (up to 47 x 17 inches [120 x 43 cm]) of lower limbs or spine. SmartStitch eliminates the need for exposure of several films or CR plates stacked vertically.
