Konica Minolta of Wayne, NJ, will debut a new upright computed radiography system, Regius 370 CR, with a new plate technology.
Regius 370 uses a cesium bromine phosphor detector. In addition, an antiscatter lead sheet has been built in to reduce x-ray scattering. Other details include an overhead hand grip, a tilted patient identification LCD window, and padded knee sensor.
Regius 370 has scanning resolutions of 87.5 µm and 175 µm for various clinical applications. It can handle all upright work, including chest, abdomen, and extremities.
The system is FDA-cleared, and Konica Minolta plans its first installation early in the first quarter of 2006, with worldwide availability during that quarter. The price will be similar to the previous model, Regius 350, at $100,000 to $120,000, depending on configuration.
