Ronkonkoma, NY-based Quantum plans to show its new QV-8000 single DR receptor radiographic unit, as well as the Q-Rad PQ Digital Radiographic System with pivoting table.
QV-8000's C-arm design allow constant alignment between the x-ray tube and the image receptor. This new design incorporates what Quantum calls anatomically programmed radiography, an automatic positioning technique that places QV-8000 into the correct orientation when a technologist selects an exam on the generator.
QV-8000 is targeted for imaging centers and orthopedic facilities, as it is suited for imaging handicapped and physically restricted patients. Quantum expects FDA clearance in 2006.
Q-Rad PQ Digital Radiographic System has a pivoting, elevating float-top table (700-lb patient capacity). It features a single digital receptor built into a tilting/rotating wall stand situated on a horizontal track. The tube head is ceiling-mounted, with a telescoping tube that matches the vertical travel of the wall stand.
Quantum plans to market Q-Rad PQ for general radiography. It has FDA clearance and is available worldwide.
