Malvern, PA-based Siemens Medical Solutions will showcase its Axiom Artis dTA, a digital ceiling-mounted universal angiography C-arm system with flat-panel detector. The company will also display the Artis dBA biplane angiography system, DynaCT enhancement for C-arm angiography systems, and Arcadis Avantic mobile C-arm system.
The gantry system for Axiom Artis dTA is equipped with both floor- and ceiling-mounted C-arm stands, allowing for flexible positioning and quick, programmable movements. It has been cleared by the FDA and is available worldwide.
The Axiom Artis dBA biplane angiography system is a flat-detector-based neurointerventional biplane system for use with simultaneous digital imaging techniques in neuroradiology and universal angiography.
The DynaCT enhancement for C-arm angiography allows soft-tissue imaging in the angio suite and enables clinicians to perform what Siemens calls angiographic computed tomography.
Arcadis Avantic, Siemens' new mobile surgery C-arm, is suited for trauma and spinal surgery imaging, general surgery, urology, orthopedic surgery, pain management, gastroenterology, and vascular surgery.
It has two 18-inch flat monitors to display images and results in digital cine mode with up to 250 mA. Film sequences are acquired and stored at speeds of up to 30 frames per second. Arcadis Avantic has FDA clearance and has begun shipping in the U.S. and worldwide.
Axiom Luminos TF is a new tableside fluoroscopy system designed to accommodate obese and bariatric patients. The system can support up to 600 lb in the locked horizontal position and 500 lb with table movement. A 55-cm opening between the imaging table and intensifier enables larger patients to fit within the system.
Finally, Siemens will highlight Axiom Multix M, a general-purpose radiography room with a flat-panel detector that can be used for both table-based imaging and upright chest studies. Multix M's table is height-adjustable and has a weight limit of 500 lb.
