Italray receives contract, preps for Medica 2005

Italian x-ray vendor Italray of Scandicci, Italy, has received an order to install six digital radiography rooms over the next several months in a healthcare network in central Italy. The installations will include Italray's Tieton single-detector multifunctional DR technology, and will be installed in various hospitals belonging to the institution.

Italray also will show its new Italray DR Solutions product line at Medica 2005 in Düsseldorf. All Italray DR Solutions systems feature amorphous silicon DR technology with a 43 x 43-cm detector size and 3001 x 3001 x 14-bit acquisition matrix.

The latest release of the company's X-Frame CCD digital fluoroscopy system also will be on display at Medica. It features an acquisition speed of up to 60 frames per second, a full digital subtraction angiography package, and RAM-free technology that enables acquisition sequences of unlimited duration.
