French technology company Thales Group unveiled a new digital detector at the recent European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna, Austria.
The Pixium Surgical 2630, designed for mobile surgical C-arms, offers several different operating modes, allowing it to cover diagnostic or interventional procedures from cardiovascular and orthopedic surgery to neuroradiological interventions. It also can produce up to 60 images per second in pediatrics.
By integrating the Pixium Surgical 2630, mobile surgical units become completely digital and operational as soon as the detector is activated.
It generates images in real-time, covering the entire surface of the detector. Images also can be transposed in 3D for advanced applications.
The Pixium Surgical 2630 does not need a cooling system and features software for calibration and image formatting.
