Canon U.S.A. has introduced its RadPro D2RS dynamic/static imaging system, the latest addition to its RadPro family of x-ray positioner products.
Equipped with Canon's CXDI-50RF digital radiography detector, the system can provide dynamic digital remote-controlled fluoroscopy and radiography imaging for high-volume facilities, according to the Lake Success, NY-based firm. The CXDI-50RF detector can acquire up to 30 frames per second for fluoroscopy imaging and perform static multiframe radiographic imaging at up to 15 frames per second, Canon said.
In other Canon product introductions, the company has unveiled its Realis WUX4000 D liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) projector. Targeted for the medical education market, Realis WUX4000 D includes a DICOM simulation mode to simulate the results of devices compliant with the DICOM Part 14 standardized display function for grayscale images, according to the vendor.
The projector provides WUXGA-resolution (1,920 x 1,200) widescreen images at 4,000 lumens and includes a built-in Canon color-correction integrated circuit.
Canon showed RadPro D2RS and the LCOS projector at last month's 2010 RSNA meeting in Chicago.
