MII installs R/F system in Tenn.

Digital x-ray equipment manufacturer Medical Imaging Innovations (MII) completed the first installation of its FluoroSight One Universal radiography/fluroscopy (R/F) system at a Tennessee hospital.

Blount Memorial Hospital, a 314-bed, level III trauma center in Maryville, received the digital system. FluoroSight One performs all diagnostic R/F procedures using one flat-panel detector and one x-ray tube; no ceiling suspension, bucky stand, or second detector is required to perform routine radiographic exams.

The FluoroSight One specifications include a 500-lb capacity elevating and tilting table, variable source to image distance from 40 inches to 80 inches, and an open design that allows the flat-panel detector to extend past the tabletop to be able to image directly onto the detector. The system also features advanced automatic positioning with the ability to perform cross-table examinations, automatic scoliosis/long-leg stitching, and digital subtraction angiography.
