Konica Minolta Medical Imaging is launching a new digital radiography (DR) system.
The company said it plans to debut the as-yet unnamed device at the AHRA 2016 conference in Nashville, TN, which begins July 31.
The floor-mounted DR system features a U-arm design for better positioning and image stitching processes for advanced studies, Konica Minolta said. The company's Ultra software complements a full console screen at the point of patient contact to accept or reject images without returning to a workstation.
A new weight-bearing stand sits 10 inches from the floor and is intended for mobility-challenged patients. The low-to-the-ground design also aids patients in wheelchairs, who can remain seated during their scans, as well as pediatric patients.
