Fujifilm Healthcare Americas is launching several advanced automated functions for its FDR Visionary Suite digital radiography room.
These features aim to improve workflow and the patient and technologist experience for a range of general radiology exams.
One feature is the systemโs Intelligent Camera Assist feature, which is built into the suiteโs collimator. This offers a live view of the patient from the control room, positioning guidance at the tube, and optional motion detection to help guide positioning accuracy.

Another function, SpeedLink, automatically sets preferred, dose-saving techniques and collimation field size to the selected exam. And the FDR Visionary Suiteโs automated positioning guidance overlays and advanced preexposure motion detection alerts help technologists prevent retakes, the company highlighted.
The system's tabletop has a weight capacity of 649 pounds and captures images of up to 63 inches upright and 47 inches supine. Misalignments from patient movement can be corrected through automatic motion correction software, and images can be captured in as little as 20 seconds, Bayer said.
And the suite's detectors combine cesium iodide with Fujifilm's Irradiation Side Sampling technology. It also incorporates a technologist acquisition console with Fujifilmโs Dynamic Visualization for intelligent feature recognition processing. This feature automatically recognizes characteristics of the region of interest and applies image processing parameters throughout the exposure field.
The FDR Visionary Suite is now available for delivery in the U.S., Fujifilm said.
