YMed reaches milestone with VascuTraK catheter

Interventional products developer YMed said that the first U.S. clinical cases have been completed for its VascuTraK II PTA dilatation catheter.

VascuTraK II is designed for vascular intervention of peripheral arteries, including the treatment of obstructive lesions of native or synthetic arteriovenous dialysis fistulae, according to the San Diego-based vendor. YMed said it would begin sales of the 5F-compatible, single-operator, rapid exchange system during the first quarter of 2008.
