Ultrasound imaging technology developer Targeson has received a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The research project, called Ultrasound-Based Molecular Imaging Agent for Imaging Acute Myocardial Syndromes, will explore the use of Targeson's targeted microspheres as a diagnostic imaging test for detecting recent myocardial ischemia, according to the vendor. The research will be conducted in conjunction with Dr. Anthony DeMaria of the University of California, San Diego.
