University of Wisconsin develops 4 new isotope production lines

The University of Wisconsin Cyclotron Research Group has developed four new isotope production lines and has joined the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) University Isotope Network.

The isotopes now being produced by the university include bromine-76, bromine-77, manganese-52g, and yttrium-86. They can be used with MRI, PET imaging, or radiotherapy.

The university is the fourth to join the DOE's University Isotope Network.
