(Booth 2513) Carestream Health of Rochester, NY, will feature new products from its Molecular Imaging unit at RSNA 2007.
Carestream Molecular Imaging, based in New Haven, CT, will show its new Kodak In-Vivo multispectral system for advanced research applications, and new large Stokes shift dyes.
The multispectral system incorporates workflow automation and advanced multispectral fluorescence, luminescence, digital x-ray, and radioisotopic imaging capabilities for in vivo imaging of small animals for drug development and life science research.
It is designed for enhanced sensitivity to locate, identify, and monitor changes in molecular activity of specific cells or organs within small animals before morphological changes can be detected.
The new large Stokes shift dyes will join Carestream's Kodak X-Sight imaging agents used with the Kodak Imaging Station and in vivo systems. The new line of dyes is designed to maximize fluorescent signals while minimizing autofluorescence issues during in vivo imaging.
The dyes allow researchers to achieve greater sensitivity of fluorescent detection deeper into tissue and eliminate background that may obstruct the fluorescent signal. Researchers then can excite and emit the dyes at their maxima for greater signal to noise.
