Hitachi will provide the Mayo Clinic with two proton beam therapy systems, which will be installed at Mayo facilities in Rochester, MN, and Phoenix.
Construction is scheduled to begin later this year, with patient treatments expected to be offered in the summer of 2015 and spring of 2015, respectively, according to Hitachi.
The agreement includes system maintenance for 10 years following installation, Hitachi said.
