GE Healthcare has unveiled its new Making an Impact on Neurodegenerative Diseases (MIND) initiative to help physicians improve the worldwide detection, diagnosis, and management of neurological conditions such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
One of the first tasks of the MIND Coalition will be to develop a report that describes the current state of neurodegenerative disease management, along with a call to action for healthcare providers, regulators, governments, and payors.
The coalition will also look at how to reduce the cost of disease management in locations with large aging populations, beginning with France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, the U.K., and the U.S.
